Nottingham Forest are ‘really close’ to sealing a deal which will see Wolverhampton Wanderers star Willy Boly head to the City Ground and discussions are being held today, according to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano. The newly-promoted side have been busy throughout the summer window, having spent more than £140million on fresh faces, but boss Steve Cooper could secure further reinforcements ahead of Thursday’s 11pm deadline.

Romano has revealed that Forest are very close to acquiring Boly and hopeful of wrapping up a deal within the next 24 hours.

It is understood that the Reds have entered advanced talks, boosting their chances of getting their man ahead of the fast-approaching transfer deadline.

The development comes after Forest’s initial attempt to lure Boly away from Molineux failed thanks to Wolves rejecting their £1million proposal.
