Hundreds of Noel Gallagher fans were left trapped inside Wythenshawe Park for hours after the show had ended on Saturday night when offiical car parks inside the parkland went into gridlock.

Some 25,000 fans flocked to Wythenshawe Park for the huge homecoming gig from Noel and his High Flying Birds. It was the first ever live gig to be held inside the historic parkland.

But hundreds of motorists who had booked tickets on the official venue car park inside the park were still waiting to leave TWO HOURS after Noel had performed his final song of the night.
