Nigeria, Algeria meet again as Sanwo-Olu hosts Falcons, Green Ladies

Nigeria and Algeria’s women’s national teams will meet in the concluding leg of their international friendly matches today, at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, Lagos.

The Super Falcons defeated the Green Ladies of Algeria 2-0 in the first of the two-legged tie, at the Remo Stars Sports Complex, Ikenne, Ogun State, with goals from Skipper Rasheedat Ajibade.Both teams were treated to a special reception by Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, at the JK Randle Centre, Onikan, Lagos Island.

Today’s game at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena will start by 2.00 p.m.Speaking on their experience on the tour of Nigeria, Algeria’s Coach, Farid Benstiti said, the Green Ladies are on a learning mission with the aim of building a competitive team that can rub shoulders with the best in the women’s game. “We have a young team and the players are trying to understand each other better with each passing game.
