Newcastle United have reportedly been offered the chance to sign wantaway Manchester United defender Eric Bailly this summer.

The 28-year-old featured just a mere four times for the Reds last season, with Newcastle known to be in the market for a new centre-back.

The Magpies are still said to be keen on the idea of Sven Botman joining the club, however, a number of potential alternatives are now being looked into.

According to reports via The Mirror, the former Villarreal defender has been offered to Eddie Howe, with Bailly currently behind Harry Maguire, Victor Lindelof and Raphael Varane in the pecking order at Old Trafford.
