Newcastle United are an option for Manchester United midfielder Donny van de Beek once the January transfer window reopens, as Eddie Howe looks to strengthen his midfield at St James’ Park, according to journalist Dean Jones. The Magpies spent more than £120 million in the summer transfer window but will soon have the chance to make further investments at the start of 2023.
According to 90min, United have granted the 25-year-old permission to leave Old Trafford once the winter window opens for business.
The report adds that Van de Beek has been informed of the club’s stance and could now seal a loan move away with a number of Premier League clubs interested as well as Eredivisie sides PSV and Ajax, his former club.
It is understood that Italian giants Inter Milan are also considering bringing the player to the San Siro, leaving Van de Beek with plenty of options.
