Nathan Aspinall got his PDC World Darts Championship campaign up and running with a 3-1 win over Boris Krcmar. The 32-year-old 10th seed from Stockport, who less than a year ago suffered a wrist injury which left him fearing for his career, overcame a slow start for an ultimately comfortable victory.Aspinall, a two-time semi-finalist at Alexandra Palace, took the first set from two legs down thanks largely to some dodgy finishing from Croatian Krcmar. But he let Krcmar recover in the second before a 10-dart leg got Aspinall back on track in the third.Aspinall's cause was also helped by Krcmar miscounting, checking out with a 108 when he actually needed 104.Luke Woodhouse will face world number one Gerwyn Price in round two after a 3-0 victory over Vladyslav Omelchenko, who was the first Ukrainian player to compete at the Championship.Damon Heta is through to round three after a 3-0 thumping of an out-of-sorts Adrian Lewis, the two-time former champion. There were also wins for Madars Razma, Karel Sedlacek, Mike De Decker, Daniel Baggish and Scott Williams.
