Antrim's Josh Rock is through to the round of 16 at the World Darts Championship after knocking out tenth seed Nathan Aspinall 4-3 at the Alexandra Palace.Rock burst out of the blocks with a 180 in the first leg on his way to taking the opening set 3-2.
An out of sorts Aspinall, who would only end up with a 29% conversion rate on his doubles, steadied the ship somewhat as he took the next two sets. But Rock hit back, winning the fourth in style, including an 11-dart leg, as he moved to the brink of victory.
Suddenly Aspinall seemed to have found form, forcing a decider after whitewashing his 21-year-old opponent in the sixth. But Rock wasn't to be denied, taking the decider 3-1 to advance to the fourth round where he'll face the winner of the Brendan Dolan and Jonny Clayton clash on Friday.
