The injury has kept the midfielder on the sidelines for six weeks but he was able to participate in a training session today, which included those not picked for international duty.The Blues face Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Saturday and though Kante is unlikely to be risked, he could take a place on the bench as he recovers from his lay-off.
Chelsea have nine matches to play across October, with a game every three days.
