MotoGP Phillip Island: Dixon aiming for Australian podium

bikesportnews.com

Inde GasGas Aspar’s Jake Dixon heads to Phillip Island hoping to go one better than his recent podium near-misses. Dixon arrives to Australia after fourth place finishes in both Japan and Thailand.

The British rider is less than five points off sixth place in the 2022 standings and a good result this weekend would allow him to make a jump in the overall table. “We’ll see what we can do in Australia,” Dixon said. “It’s a circuit I haven’t been to since 2019. “The weather there can change quite a bit - I remember in 2019 that it was raining hard on Wednesday but it was 27 degrees and then on Friday it was cold - but I’m looking forward to riding there.”
