Motherwell Athletic Club runners put in the miles as part of the first-ever Scottish National Running Week earlier this month.

The club hosted a 5k open social run at Strathclyde Country Park, with over 65 runners attending and plenty of volunteers on hand to help as well.

National Running Week was held from June 5-11 June by the charity Athletics Trust Scotland, with the aim of raising funds to bring running and athletics to disadvantaged communities across Scotland.

Motherwell AC got involved by opening the doors to their club to non-members, and invited friends and family to come along for a 5k run/jog.
