Highly-regarded Michael Beale is reportedly in the mix to become Wolves' next manager after his eye-catching start at QPR. The 42-year-old earned acclaim for his work with Steven Gerrard at first Rangers then Aston Villa before being named boss at Loftus Road in the summer.
And his upwards trajectory has continued with QPR in the mix amid a wide-open start to the Championship season. And now talkSPORT claim Beale is now among the leading names to be named Bruno Lage's successor.
They report the next boss is now likely to come outwith the Jorge Mendes stable – despite the super agent retaining a strong relationship with the English Premier League side.
It's understood Beale has yet to be formally offered the vacancy but his role as Gerrard's coaching "brain" has caught the attention of a clutch of admirers.
