Lionel Messi is finally producing the form that Paris Saint-Germain fans were dreaming of when he signed for the club last year.

A difficult first season adapting to life post-Barcelona is now firmly in the rear-view mirror with the seven-time Ballon d’Or winner starting to show exactly the sort of form that he displayed at Camp Nou since turning 30.

His numbers might not be quite as spine-tingling as they used to be, but a record of eight goals and eight assists from just 13 games so far this season is nevertheless pretty frightening for a 35-year-old.
