Members of Greater Manchester youth project invited to Buckingham Palace

Members of a Greater Manchester youth project have been invited to Buckingham Palace to celebrate the impact of the Duke Of Edinburgh (DofE) programme.

Hideout Youth Zone has five sites in Greater Manchester - in Bolton, Gorton, Harpurhey, Oldham and Wigan. A sixth in Salford could soon follow.

Bosses support more nearly 100 young people and guide them through the DofE programme. Recently, 35 completed their Bronze Award.

The young achievers were accompanied by members of the HideOut staff who also completed the Duke Of Edinburgh Expedition Skills course across the summer.
