women’s national team soccer star Megan Rapinoe added fuel to the dispute. Rapinoe made it clear during the "A Touch More" podcast with Sue Bird there is one former NFL player she believes deserves a spot on America’s roster — former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick.

Flag football is coming to the 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles. The news was officially announced in October 2023, but, with the conclusion of the Paris Games, the NFL has recently started to build hype for the newest Olympic event.
