Matt O'Riley has detailed his plans for the Premiership winter shutdown. Scotland's top flight is now in cold storage for a couple of weeks in a period that will provide players at all 12 clubs the chance to recharge the batteries and rest up any niggling injuries they have while getting some extra work in behind the scenes on the training ground.
It's been a busy first half of the season for O'Riley and his Celtic pals and they followed up their derby day success over Rangers with a thumping win over St Mirren to kick-off 2024 in the perfect fashion.
The 23-year-old was on target once again to take his tally in the league to an impressive ten goals while he has also contributed seven assists.
In total he has already featured in 28 club games across all competitions including the Champions League. It's been an intense period of football since August but in particularly the last month or so, and O'Riley now plans to get some sun on his back, chill out and rest his body.
