Mary Earps has been crowned as your Manchester United Fans' Footballer of the Year for 2023. The 30-year-old England goalkeeper - who was the only United player nominated for the national accolade - had an astonishing calendar year for club and country.
She picked up the Reach PLC prize ahead of United men's team captain Bruno Fernandes, Marcus Rashford and Casemiro. Earps received almost as many votes as those three players combined from Manchester Evening News readers as she picked up 400 from a possible 889 from people who had their say.
She was also included on the national-wide shortlist with England defender Kieran Trippier coming out on top. Earps will be able to look back on 2023 with real pride for her achievements both on and off the pitch. A star performer for England Women on their way to the World Cup final, she kept three clean sheets across that tournament and performed exceptionally - albeit in a losing cause - during the showpiece against Spain.
