Martin McDonagh is into the last 16 of Olympic qualifiers in Italy after an impressive win over Turkish fighter Yusuf Acik on Wednesday.Th U-22, senior and elite Irish champion won every round on the judges' scorecard, coming away with a unanimous victory that moves him to within two wins of securing his place at the Paris Games.McDonagh's latest win comes after the Crumlin native defeated the experienced Ferely Ali Feliz of the Dominican Republic in the opening round on Sunday.Ireland has eight boxers at the tournament, which is taking place at the E-Work Arena in Busto Arsizio, 25km north of Milan.Should any reach the semi-finals, they will be guaranteed a place at the Paris Games.Tokyo bronze medalist Aidan Walsh produced a commanding performance on Tuesday to defeat UAE's Husain Alkandari in his first-round bout.Daina Moorehouse (50kg), Jude Gallagher (57kg) and Kelyn Cassidy (80kg) have also racked up wins over the last two days.
