Manager Reece Prestedge claims he’s happy with Margate’s Isthmian Premier squad now after a busy week. Gate have brought in two players while the loan of teenage Gillingham winger Matty Macarthur has been extended.
Dartford recalled Cameron Brodie from his own loan stint at Hartsdown Park last week, with the midfielder having since joined Ashford, but Prestedge’s squad certainly appears to be in a healthier position.
Prestedge said: “I think that’s it now. "We’re very happy with what we have. We have added in the areas we needed to. “Unless anything pops up, I’m pleased where the squad is at.” Recent recruits Yaser Kasim and on-loan Tonbridge forward Ruben Soares-Junior both came off the bench in Gate’s goalless draw at fourth-placed Enfield.
Midfielder Kasim, 31, played more than 100 times for Swindon and is a full Iraqi international. He started the season at Welling but has spent the past month with Gloucester. “He will bring a lot on the experience side of it,” said Prestedge. “Obviously, he has quality. “He’s good on the ball and will be someone to keep it ticking over when we need to.
