Marco van Ginkel is Rangers transfer 'option' as Philippe Clement weighs up double Dutch swoop with Robin Propper

Robert Propper's imminent move to Rangers could be part of a double Dutch swoop with the club weighing up a move for Marco van Ginkel.

Propper is undergoing a medical in Manchester today after Gers agreed a fee with FC Twente for the 30-year-old central defender.

But now the Scottish Sun clams that the Ibrox club have been monitoring former Chelsea starlet Van Ginkel and could make a move for the once highly rated midfielder.

He is available as a free-agent after leaving Vitesse Arnhem - Propper's hometown club - and the 31-year-old is thought to be a live option for Clement and sporting director Nils Koppen.
