Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag will be sweating on the fitness of Bruno Fernandes ahead of Thursday's massive trip to Tottenham.

Fernandes looked to have hurt his ankle in the first-half of Sunday's FA Cup semi-final win over Brighton, but played on until extra-time at which point he was taken off.

On Monday, the midfielder's wife posted a picture on social media in which he was sitting with a cast and a protective boot on the floor.

The 28-year-old was due for further assessment at the start of the week but as of yet there has been no confirmation of his injury or time on the sidelines.
