Manchester United striker Rasmus Hojlund trained away from the main group at the club's Carrington training base on Wednesday morning as he continues to recover from a recent injury.

The Danish international, 20, finalised his move to Old Trafford last weekend, joining United on a five-year deal from Italian club Atalanta.

United swooped for the youngster after agreeing a deal with the Serie A outfit worth up to £72million. Hojlund, who scored 10 goals for Atalanta last season, was unveiled as United's third signing of the summer on Saturday and was introduced to the Old Trafford crowd ahead of the 3-1 win over RC Lens.

However, sources confirmed that he had arrived at the club still recovering from an injury he sustained in pre-season. He is expected to miss the start of the campaign and United have indicated that they will not rush his recovery, meaning it remains unclear when he could make his debut.
