Manchester United scout Tommy Moller Nielsen has passed away at the age of 61, his wife has confirmed. The tragic news was announced via Danish outlet Fyens Stiftstidende, who further revealed that a cause of death had not been confirmed by the family at the time of writing.
Nielsen had been working as a United scout since 2016 after an extensive career as both a player, manager and coach. He was the son of legendary coach Richard Møller Nielsen, who famously led Denmark to victory in the 1992 European Championship.
He got his breakthrough playing for his dad as part of a successful Odense BK side, and he would go on to become a household name in Denmark as a player.
