Here are your Thursday morning Manchester United headlines. Kobbie Mainoo boost Kobbie Mainoo will be able to join up with the Manchester United squad for pre-season after England under-19s failed to qualify for this summer's European Championships.

Mainoo had been involved with the under-19 setup during the international break, featuring in all three of their qualifiers including 88 minutes in a 2-0 win over Turkey on Tuesday evening.

The 17-year-old has been on the fringes of first-team action at United, making his debut in the Carabao Cup win over Charlton in January. Fortunately for United, that means the teenager will be available for this summer's trip to the United States for pre-season, having missed out on the tournament that is due to take place between July 3 and July 16.
