Manchester United have apparently been offered the chance to sign former Barcelona attacker Martin Braithwaite. The striker is currently plying his trade at Espanyol in the second tier of Spanish football and has 11 goals to his name.

United are limiting spending this month amid Financial Fair Play concerns. In fact, Erik ten Hag said on Friday that there is “no space” for any cost-based arrival due to FFP constraints following a £400m spend over the past two summers.

That means only a cost-free loan transfer would be feasible. A report from HITC claims that Braithwaite, now 32, has been offered to United as a potential last-gasp option.

United need attacking reinforcement, especially with Anthony Martial out for 10 weeks following groin surgery.
