Manchester United's Marcus Rashford admitted last month that he had enjoyed a 'priceless' pre-season after such a disappointing campaign.
Rashford had the opportunity to take a genuine break, he got engaged to his partner and he was finally injury free. Rashford looked relaxed as he talked to reporters in Australia, explaining that he had mentally and physically recovered ahead of the new season.
Rashford looked devoid of confidence last term, scoring just five goals and recorded two assists, and his self-assessment in Perth was promising.
It was hoped the player's better preparation and Erik ten Hag's influence would get him back to his best. The 24-year-old exploded onto the first-team stage in 2016 with a sensational debut against Midtjylland in the Europa League and he's been an established member of the dressing room ever since.
