Antony had started on the right wing and he'd been anonymous throughout the first half, but Erik ten Hag made no changes at the break and Sancho remained wrapped up on the bench instead, a decision which was vindicated in the 52nd minute. Real Betis goalkeeper Claudio Bravo knew Antony's intention on the ball but he was helpless in preventing him from scoring. That is what the Brazilian winger is capable of and he duly celebrated by dancing in the snow at the Stretford End.
