Some Manchester United supporters were unhappy with referee Anthony Taylor for his performance during the 0-0 draw against Southampton on Sunday afternoon and they continued to vent their frustration via David de Gea's latest Instagram post.

For the second time in this Premier League season, Casemiro was sent off as rock-bottom Saints grabbed a creditable point against their high-flying opponents.

However, on another occasion, United might have been awarded one - if not two - penalties through VAR at Old Trafford. It was following a second check with the much-maligned replay system that Casemiro received the red card that will now see him miss the next four domestic games, but Taylor and VAR chose not to refer when Armel Bella-Kotchap appeared to handle inside the area. However, when responding to his short Instagram post, match-goers and those watching the Southampton draw from afar made their verdict on the referee and VAR abundantly clear.
