Manchester United fans have given a divided response to Jesse Lingard being named as Nottingham Forest’s newest signing, with some wishing him luck while others are happy to see the back of him.
The playmaker left Old Trafford last month upon the expiration of his contract, ending a two-decade long association with the club after a rough few years amid limited game time.
Lingard had been linked with a move to the likes of West Ham - with whom he had a terrific loan spell during the 2020/21 season - and Newcastle.
However, reports claimed that a sticking point that cropped up with both clubs was his high wage demands. But that hasn’t deterred Forest from making a move.
