Manchester United midfielder Donny van de Beek has completed a loan move to Eintracht Frankfurt with a view to a permanent deal.
The 26-year-old arrived as a highly-rated £35million midfielder, with that fee possibly rising to £40m, but he struggled to ever recapture the dazzling form from his time at Ajax.
Van de Beek failed to keep a regular place in the United team, being limited to 62 appearances across his three-and-a-half years at Old Trafford.
There was hope that being reunited with his former Ajax boss Erik ten Hag could help Van de Beek rediscover his best football but he still only featured on 12 occasions, including just two league starts.
