Former Celtic and Chelsea striker Chris Sutton has accused Bruno Fernandes of acting like a 'cry-baby' in the closing stages of Manchester United's 3-0 defeat to Bournemouth on Saturday.
Fernandes was booked with just over five minutes of the contest remaining for saying something to referee Peter Bankes. It marked his fifth yellow card of the season, ruling him out of Sunday's trip to Anfield to face Liverpool.
Premier League rules state that any player who earns five yellow cards within their side's opening 19 league matches must serve a one-match suspension.
As a result, it will be the first league game the Portuguese international has missed since United's 3-1 defeat to Aston Villa at Villa Park in November 2022.
