Luncarty manager Robbie Holden has expressed his massive pride after the Perthshire club qualified for next season’s Scottish Cup.
The Bleachers booked their ticket to the national showpiece after lifting the Cup Winners’ Shield on Saturday afternoon. A 3-1 win against West of Scotland League side Renfrew secured the special achievement and resulted in plenty of joyous celebrations.
It was not so long ago that Luncarty, who sit third in the East of Scotland League’s First Division, had entered abeyance but commitment and determination is making them stronger than ever.
The weekend success - there would be no surprise to hear - was kick-started by a finish from striker Rhys Davies on the half hour mark.
