Manchester United legend David Beckham has announced he will be hosting a new programme during this season's Champions League. 'Beckham and Friends' will air on Paramount for the second legs of the Champions League semi-finals and final.
The watchalong-style broadcast will see the former England captain watching the three high profile matches alongside friends in a 'Gogglebox inspired' show.
Explaining what to expect, Beckham told CBS Sports' Kate Scott: "I think each time will be a different personality, a different friend of mine.
But like you guys, I love watching the game and I like watching a game in a certain way and most of the time it is with my children or my friends so it is going to be that kind of thing where I am sat there watching the games, commenting on the games with friends, talking about the game and not sometimes talking about the game." When asked by Micah Richards how high a bar Beckham was setting for guests, the 49-year-old insisted it was 'quite high' and that they wouldn't necessarily have to know too much about football.
