Man dies after collapsing at Cheshire golf club with air ambulance called

A man has died after collapsing on a golf course in Cheshire. Land and air ambulance crews scrambled to Runcorn Golf Club at 9.35am on Wednesday following reports of a medical emergency.

Paramedics were unable to save the patient, who was pronounced dead at the scene. The ECHO received a report from a member of the public on Wednesday that three ambulances including a helicopter had been called to the club, on Clifton Road.

In a statement issued on Wednesday afternoon (March 8), the police spokesman said: “At 10.22am, March 8, police were made aware that air ambulance were attending an incident at a golf club in Runcorn. “It followed reports that a man had collapsed on the course.
