Man City get Aymeric Laporte injury update as Manchester United fixture referee announced

Here are your Manchester City evening headlines on Wednesday, September 28: Spain are not concerned about Aymeric Laporte's injury ahead of the World Cup, as Luis Enrique has hinted the Manchester City man will be recovered in time to represent them in Qatar.

Laporte is yet to feature for City this season after undergoing surgery in the summer, although he posted recently that he has returned to training in some capacity.

Pep Guardiola had originally estimated he would return by mid-September but later revised that to October. ALSO READ: City can prove United fans wrong about summer signings That meant he missed Spain's two Nations League fixtures this week — their final games before the World Cup.
