Manchester City ace Cole Palmer has admitted this season has been "tough" for him after making less than 20 appearances for Pep Guardiola's side.

The 20-year-old, who came through the ranks at City, has made 19 appearances in all competitions this term, registering one goal against Burnley in the FA Cup quarter-finals.

However, despite impressing when called upon last campaign, Palmer is yet to start a Premier League match. Palmer - who has made five starts this season - is widely regarded as one of the most promising prospects in the English system.

However, he has made just three substitute appearances since being named in the starting line-up for the Carabao Cup defeat at Southampton in January.
