The ongoing legal battle between Manchester City and the Premier League is set to rack up significant costs for both parties, which could impact the other 19 top-flight clubs.

The Premier League is thought to have already splashed many millions on the case already, even before the hearing, which is now into its second week.

Meanwhile, the outcome of another white-paper wrangle between the League and Man City is expected soon. Over the summer, a separate hearing was held regarding Associated Party Transaction [APT] rules, which allow the Premier League to oversee deals between entities connected with club owners to ensure agreements are not inflated above the market rate.

Man City argue that this oversight is unjust.
