Lorraine Kelly has spoken out about her former ITV colleague Phillip Schofield's well-being following his publicised TV downfall.
The 64-year-old, who presents her self-titled chat show every weekday, told how she was 'heartbroken' when the This Morning presenter resigned.
In May last year, Phillip, 61, left ITV and was dropped by his talent agency after admitting to an “unwise, but not illegal” relationship with a younger male colleague.
Lorraine says her fellow morning TV star has had a 'hard time' since his affair became public. As well as stepping down from hosting This Morning, which he presented alongside Holly Willoughby, Phillip also no longer presents Dancing On Ice and has been replaced by Stephen Mulhern in the series which is currently airing.
