Dr Hilary Jones announces sad death live on ITV's Lorraine

Dr Hilary Jones returned to ITV's Lorraine and revealed his beloved mum Noreen has died, aged 97. The TV doctor shared the sad news as he joined show host Lorraine Kelly in the studio on Tuesday (February 27).

Hilary, 70, said: "We were celebrating her wonderful life. She was 97 years old, she was a kind, generous, very knowledgeable and wonderful woman.

She was a remarkable woman." He added: "We just got together and celebrated some of the happy times. It was a fabulous day, just remembering all the caring she gave.

She was skilled in antiques, being a nurse, she was a great mother, grandmother and great grandmother as well. We had the opportunity to get together and to celebrate her life."
