Liverpool defender Virgil Van Dijk‘s form is a concern for Jurgen Klopp, according to insider Dean Jones. The £220,000 per-week star hasn’t been at his best this season, but Jones doesn’t think the Dutchman’s best days are necessarily behind him.

It’s been a tough start to the campaign both as a team and on a personal level for the ex-Celtic man, who’s not been able to hit the heights of previous years.

As a result, the Reds have kept just two clean sheets in their seven Premier League games, already conceding nine goals in the process.

Van Dijk did help Liverpool keen a shutout against Rangers during midweek, but he looked shaky against Brighton as Klopp’s side conceded three goals in a league game at Anfield for the first time since February 2021.
