Live updates as Christmas shopping queues cause traffic congestion at Cardiff, Bridgend and Newport retail parks

Christmas is just three days away, it is one of the busiest shopping days of the year.On Thursday morning, congestion, queues and parking delays have been reported at retail parks in Cardiff, Bridgend and Newport.Traffic monitoring system Inrix is reporting "Christmas shopping traffic" causing delays on the A48 Spytty Road in Newport, with queues westbound at the Leeway roundabout.There are also queues around Culverhouse Cross on the outskirts of Cardiff.

There are reports of queues on the A4050 Port Road northbound.One shopper said: "The queues for M&S and Tesco at Culverhouse Cross are unbelievable.

I have never seen it so busy."Queues have also formed on the A4061 southbound in Bridgend near Tesco supermarket.Whether you're Christmas shopping, meeting friends or attending a festive do, we will keep you up to date with any delays on the roads, railways and bus networks that could disrupt your journey throughout the day.
