Thunder has been heard rumbling over parts of Greater Manchester ahead of another predicted storm today (June 18). The region has been braced to wave goodbye to the clear skies and sunny weather, with the Met Office issuing a yellow weather warning for thunderstorms in Greater Manchester and other parts of the UK.

Meteorologists have said people should expect 'sudden flooding' and 'some road closures' with the possibility of homes and business also becoming flooded. There will be heavy showers across most of the north west. The news follows on from another storm in Manchester in the early hours of Sunday (June 18).
