Drivers heading towards Manchester are facing delays on the M66 following a collision this morning. Queues are currently building on the southbound M66 near Bury, between the A56 at Ramsbottom and junction two.

The road is currently 'blocked' following the crash, according to the Inrix traffic monitoring system. Data from Google shows slow traffic approaching the scene.

An update from Inrix said: "M66 southbound partially blocked, queueing traffic due to accident between A56 (Ramsbottom Junction) and J2 A58 Rochdale Road (Bury).
