Christophe Galtier won't be expecting a Christmas card from Lionel Messi after his latest comments around the 'GOAT' debate -claiming Cristiano Ronaldo should actually wear that crown.

The Frenchman managed seven-time Ballon d'Or winner Messi at Paris-Saint-Germain last season as they lifted the Ligue 1 title.

However, they both went their separate ways over the summer, with Messi heading Stateside to join David Beckham's Inter Miami while Galtier took up the reins at Al-Duhail following his Parc des Princes departure.

Speaking after Ronaldo inspired Al-Nassr to yet another AFC Champions League victory and maintained their perfect record in the group, Galtier declared the former Manchester United and Real Madrid forward is still the 'best in the world'.

Inter Miami saluted Argentine star Lionel Messi's eighth Ballon d'Or on Friday, but their friendly match to mark the achievement ended in a 2-1 loss to MLS rivals New York City FC. Fans, many of them shouting "Messi! Messi!" in unison, nearly filled the DRV PNK stadium -- despite the fact that the club's MLS season ended last month.
