Lionel Messi issued a warning to Argentina’s World Cup rivals after scoring all five goals in his side’s friendly win over Estonia.
Messi provided two assists to help South American champions Argentina beat European champions Italy in the Finalissima last week.
The Paris Saint-Germain forward produced another superb display against Estonia in Spain, scoring an early penalty and then netted two goals in each half as Argentina sealed a 5-0 win.
Messi overtook Hungary legend Ferenc Puskas and is now the fourth highest-scorer in men’s international football, behind only Malaysia’s Mokhtar Dahari (89), Iran’s Ali Daei (109) and Portugal’s Cristiano Ronaldo (117).
