'Life-changing' hack for drying clothes for free in winter using kitchen tool

manchestereveningnews.co.uk

An expert has revealed a "genius" trick for drying clothes in winter for free using a common kitchen gadget. As the winter weather takes hold, with temperatures dropping and rain becoming even more frequent, drying clothes becomes a significant challenge.

Unfortunately, most UK homes lack utility rooms, leading to bulky clothes airers taking up valuable living space throughout the colder months.

Deyan Dimitrov, CEO and co-founder at Laundryheap, has shared several expert tips on how to dry clothes cheaply and quickly - including using a salad spinner to dry your garments.

He explained: "If you need to quick-dry a few small items in a pinch, repurpose your salad spinner. The kitchen staple works the same way that your laundry machine’s spin cycle does, but this DIY hack kicks off the drying process in a couple of minutes, rather than twenty or thirty." He suggested simply placing one or two small items in the spinner, ensuring there’s enough room to let the water drain out.
