Leicester now facing 'major problem' over sacking Brendan Rodgers at King Power

givemesport.com

Leicester City may not be able to sack Brendan Rodgers because they do not have the finances needed to cover the compensation package he would be due if he is shown the door at the King Power Stadium, according to Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth. The Foxes have made a woeful start to the season and went into the international break sitting bottom of the Premier League table.

Rodgers admitted that he is under increasing pressure and he would respect the owners’ decision if he were to be axed after Leicester suffered a 6-2 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur last weekend.

While respected Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano revealed the Foxes hierarchy were set to discuss the Northern Irishman’s future following the heavy loss in London, it appears he will be in the dugout when Nottingham Forest head to the King Power Stadium on October 3.

It is understood that Rodgers is on extremely thin ice and the vast majority of supporters expected him to have been sacked by now, but Leicester intend to give him a little more time to turn things around.
