Leicester City lead Hull City 1-0 at half time in their pre-season friendly at the MKM Stadium thanks to a fine goal by Patson Daka before the half hour mark.
Daka and Dennis Praet combined to great effect to win the ball high in the Tigers’ danger zone and the forward then unleashed an exquisite finish to beat Matt Ingram.
Brendan Rodgers’ intention was to see as many of his first-team squad on this balmy evening in Hull as possible. The first half side was a team which probably hasn’t played a hell of a lot of football together before, made up of second string players, players returning from injury and those who had been out on loan last season.
They began the better against a Hull outfit who were up for it in front of a very decent pre-season friendly turn-out. Daka had Tobias Figueieredo on toast at the back but couldn’t aim his shot on target.
