Kyogo doesn't meet Tottenham transfer threshold of 'world class' as Barry Ferguson weighs up Brendan Rodgers budget impact

Barry Ferguson admits he can't see Kyogo being a good fit for Tottenham Hotspur due to the 'world class' talent already at Ange Postecoglou's disposal.

Reports suggest the Aussie could raid his former Celtic side for the Japanese hitman, whose 30-plus goals across all competitions eased the Hoops towards a domestic Treble before Postecoglou bowed out for North London.

The 28-year-old is one of a handful of current Parkhead stars now being touted for the big move to the Premier League, with Postecoglou potentially facing a mass exodus in the summer.

The Record Sport columnist, however, has raised one caveat of a potential move to Spurs as the striker also reportedly has interest from Vincent Kompany and Burnley.
