Kris Doolan has been announced as the new Partick Thistle manager on a permanent basis. Club legend Doolan had been in interim charge since Ian McCall was sacked following their Scottish Cup exit against Rangers.
The Jags had started the season in flying form but tailed off with back to back defeats against Hamilton and Cove meaning their cup exit at Ibrox as the final straw for McCall.
Doolan, who was in charge of the U18s side, stepped into the dugout and took seven points from a possible nine against Ayr, Arbroath and Dundee.
And now he's been handed the job permanently with a statement reading: "Partick Thistle FC are delighted to announce that Kris Doolan has been appointed as first team manager.
