Kingsbury wins 3rd straight dual moguls world title, holding off reigning Olympic champ

Canada's Mikaël Kingsbury successfully defended his men's dual moguls world title on Sunday in Bakuriani, Georgia. The Deux-Montagnes, Que., native outduelled Sweden's Walter Wallberg in the final to strike gold for his fourth world title in the discipline.

He won the last two world championships in 2019 and 2021. Kingsbury crossed the finish line with a narrow lead of 0.05 seconds.

The three-time Olympic medallist now boasts eight world championship medals. In dual moguls two weeks ago, Kingsbury won his 79th World Cup gold, finishing second to Japan's Ikuma Horishima in in Valmalenco, Italy to strengthen his lead atop the World Cup standings to 68 points over Wallberg.
